Light Up The World
On Wednesday 11th November, we'd like to invite you into school at around 1:30pm to join your children in class .They will be doing a variety of art activities all linked to poppies, which are the traditional armistice day emblem. Poppies grow in even the most devastated ground, so we are using them as a symbol as part of our celebration of light. Through the week, we will be focusing on the Diwali stories associated with light, we will be looking at emotional well being issues related to there always being light eventually, no matter how dark things can get in life, and we will be linking in to the National Poetry Day theme of light too by learning some 'light' themed poetry in our English lessons. We will perform these for you in an end of day assembly, around 2:45pm on the 11th too. We hope you can join us!
