We hope that everyone is safe and keeping well. We currently remain open and are undertaking all measures to keep everyone in school safe by following all government and council guidelines thoroughly.
Unless it is urgent, please telephone us rather than coming into school if you have any questions or need to speak to someone. We are trying to keep the number of people that we come into contact with to an absolute minimum in order to keep children and staff safe.
Thank you to everyone who has been so understanding about self-isolating. Remember, if your child has any symptoms at all (a new, continuous cough or a temperature of 37.8 or above), you should keep them at home for 14 days. Any siblings will not be allowed to come to school for these days either whether they have symptoms or not. All family members should also stay indoors in order to stop the spread of any potential virus.
Thankfully, children do not seem to be hit hard by this virus, but they are super carriers and we need to limit who they come into contact with. All of us will know someone who is vulnerable, and we must do all we can to protect them.
All events that we had planned in school are now cancelled for the foreseeable future, as are all visits out, visitors in and staff training. We are doing absolutely everything to keep our contacts with the outside world to a minimum.
Together, we can weather this. It will be a hard time for everyone, so we must all do our bit.
We will be posting a list of websites that your children might like to use to ensure that they are still accessing learning at their level while they are absent. This will be posted soon.
