The Outside Area Continues to Grow

As you know, we have been trying SO hard to improve our outside areas, starting with the EYFS space. Sadly, after everyone's hard work, this was vandalised over the summer, but we are determined not to let a small, selfish minority stand in the way of us providing the children and community with a wonderful place to play and learn.

We have bid for, and now been awarded, another £10, 000, which will be used to build an outdoor classroom space between the KS1 and EYFS as well as to secure some new outdoor surfacing. Keep your eyes peeled for work starting this year.

The new EYFS physical activity area should begin to take shape next week as fab new fencing is put up, and the KS2 area will be extended soon too as the large fence is moved further out onto our field, so allowing us to make use of the grassed area to improve physical activity and healthy lifestyles .

Later on in the year, work should begin on our traversing wall and MUGA in KS2, as the Sport England grant from The National Lottery comes our way.

If you would like to help out with any gardening or maintenance of our outside areas, please do let me know. We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help us give the best we can to our children.
