Capturing the eclipse

It wasn't quite the event we hoped for with the weather, but we set up some tablets to create fab time lapse videos of the eclipse on Friday!

Last Friday, November 28th, we were visited by our local MP, Ian Mearns.

He officially opened our Digital Classroom and seemed very impressed with how the technology was being used.

Read all about it HERE.

We are very lucky at Bede to have a partner in the global technology company, Samsung.

They have provided us with an incredible amount of equipment to see how it can improve learning in a classroom.

So far Mr Riley and Mr Peel have been amazed with how it has transformed their lessons. Children have immediate access to Samsung Galaxy tablets and Chromebooks, revolutionising the speed with which we can access information.

If you pass by Classes 5 and 6, the chances are that you'll see us using QR codes to access resources, recording what we've learned in a lesson or collaborating on a shared document. We can even do quizzes set by the teacher at the end of a lesson!

Come back to this page in the future to see what else we've been up to and be sure to check out the link at the top of this page!

Remember Skye's great work when she wins an Oscar in years to come!

We made gif files of us comparing different boat designs this week... we even managed to sneak in some special effects!
